MTW Blog : Shop-a-Thon Recap - (MTW Blog) 12/16/10

added by mtwmanager 518 days ago under FrontPage

By Domingo. Our goal for the Shop-a-Thon on Dec. 8th was to make $2,000 in 3 hours. We surpassed that by almost $200 and ended with a grand total of $2,161!! Thanks to all of our customers for coming out, supporting us, and spending money here so that we could hit our goal! We had roughly 100 of the nicest people in the world come out and support us. In addition, thanks to all of our youth and adult staff members who worked together to make sure the store looked its best. Matt and Kayla on the mic kept track of our progress and made everyone feel welcome. Joseph and Jorge read seasonal books to the children in the store. We provided great customer service and free samples throughout the night. We also had trivia with raffle prizes, and gave informative tours. Overall, our Shop-a-Thon was a great success! We had a blast and hope that everyone who came did too. I speak for everyone here at MTW when I say THANK YOU again to all of you!!

Thank you for taking our daughter, Sara, under your wings. We will be bringing her to work today. Strong weather is predicted. Please let us know what number to call to let you know of your plans for the day. On another note, I'm a teacher of preschools, some with special needs. I am wondering if after April first, I might be able to bring some of my puppets and read stories to the young. Thanks for everything! Seasons greetings! Very warmly, Phoebe

Hi Phoebe,
Thank you for your note! You can always call us here at the store if you have any questions about weather issues/if the store will be open or not - 781-788-0035. Please email me at sharon@mtwyouth.org so we can discuss a puppet/story hour for children - that sounds intriguing!
Best,
Sharon
